Sweet Potato Mag is shaped by the people who read it, return to it, and nurture it over time.
Our intention is to amplify the voices of our community and allow the magazine to be a living reflection of the individuals who care for it.

We’d love to receive your writings, musings, artworks, illustrations, photo essays, or any other form of creative expression that feels aligned with our values.
Our values
We’re drawn to work rooted in:

-
honest, true, and individual expression
-
gentleness, kindness, and care
-
inclusivity - no discrimination, no hate
-
slowing down and creating space for intentional time offline

You don’t need to have a finished piece. Sometimes a thought, feeling, or quiet observation is enough to begin.
'What Works' Column
What Works is a recurring column in Sweet Potato Mag and a space held specifically for women.
It invites honest, personal reflections on subjects such as pleasure, appearance, self-image, mental health, relationships with the body, or everyday rituals.

This is not a space for advice, solutions, or prescriptions. There is no agenda, no “fixing,” and no expectation to instruct. What Works exists simply to allow women to express their lived experiences freely, in their own words, at their own pace, without judgment.
